Here at Confident Smiles, we are proud to offer dental implants so that you can be proud of your smile. We offer many different types of dental restorations to replace any broken or missing teeth. We offer fillings to fill in any broken teeth. We use a type of cement to fill in any broken teeth so that they look natural.
● Replace one or more missing teeth without affecting adjacent teeth.
● Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space.
● Restore a patient’s confident smile.
● Restore chewing, speech, and digestion.
● Restore or enhance facial tissues.
● Support a bridge or denture, making them more secure and comfortable.
When you are missing teeth, we have a lot of different options. We may place implants in, which are replacement roots. Overtop of implants, we place crowns which restores your teeth to the size and shape that they should be.
We also offer bridges which “bridge” the gap between teeth. They are often cemented into place. We also offer dentures, either full or partial, depending on how many teeth you are missing. Once we are finished with your mouth, you will love to show your new smile off!
Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about dental implants. We will be glad to help you get the smile that you deserve.
The process of getting implants requires a number of visits over several months.
X-rays and impressions (molds) are taken of the jaw and teeth to determine bone, gum tissue, and spacing available for an implant. While the area is numb, the implant will be surgically placed into the bone and allowed to heal and integrate itself onto the bone for up to six months. Depending on the type of implant, a second surgery may be required in order to place the “post” that will hold the artificial tooth in place. With other implants the post and anchor are already attached and placed at the same time.
After several weeks of healing the artificial teeth are made and fitted to the post portion of the anchor. Because several fittings may be required, this step may take one to two months to complete. After a healing period, the artificial teeth are securely attached to the implant, providing excellent stability and comfort to the patient.
You will receive care instructions when your treatment is completed. Good oral hygiene, eating habits, and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new implant.

Following surgery for dental implants, the patient may need anywhere from one or two days to a week off of work, depending on the type of work they do.
In some cases, if enough healthy jawbone is present, it may be possible to place a dental implant the same day a tooth is taken out. However, in most cases, a dentist will recommend waiting 3 to 6 months after a tooth extraction to allow the area to fully heal.
At the outset, implants are more expensive than other tooth-replacement methods such as dentures or bridgework. But they also last many years longer and in fact should never need replacement. So they offer the best, most cost-effective option when viewed as a long-term investment in your health, comfort and well-being.
